Bisons Push Through Storm

Southern Nazarene put more shots on goal, but Harding put more on the scoreboard

Southern Nazarene is still looking for its first win.
Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — Despite putting two more shots on goal and kissing two more off the frame, Southern Nazarene just missed getting its first win of the year in a 2-0 loss to Harding.

The Crimson Storm (0-8, 0-2 GAC) put eight of its 17 shots on frame while the Bisons (3-3, 1-1 GAC) put six of its 19 shots on goal, but made it count with a goal in the second minute and in the 90th minute.

Ian Park scored his second goal of the year at the 1:46 mark when Ryan Wilhelm sent a cross from the left side to the right box and Park ripped it to the left corner to lead 1-0. SNU had plenty of opportunities to tie it and bounced one off the cross bar and one off the left post, but never could find the back of the net. Harding's Chase Keeney made eight saves on the day keeping the Storm off the scoreboard.

Josiah Ireland put the game away with just seconds left as he scored his first goal of the season off a pass from Josh Ireland and hit the back corner to make it 2-0.

Blake Anderson made four saves on the day in goal for SNU.

The Crimson Storm now turn its eyes on a Saturday match up with Northeastern State at 1 p.m.
