No. 24 Mustangs Outlast Storm

Southern Nazarene fell 3-1 to 24th-ranked Midwestern State

Anderson had a career-high 13 saves.
Box Score WICHITA FALLS, Texas  — Aziz Tapsoba scored his third goal of the year for Southern Nazarene and SNU carried a 1-1 tie into the half with No. 24 Midwestern State, but MSU scored two second half goals to pull off the 3-1 win.
 
The Crimson Storm (1-11) knotted the game at 1-1 in the 32nd minute when the sophomore dribbled through two defenders and ripped a shot to tie the game. The Mustangs took the first lead of the game in the 30th minute when Len Smith put MSU up 1-0. Tapsoba helped the Crimson Storm get new life and carry a bit of momentum into the locker room
 
The Mustangs though struck midway and notched two goals in a matter of 30 seconds in the 64th minute to put the game away.
 
Blake Anderson set a career-high with 13 saves as MSU put 16 of its 34 shots on goal. Ray Clark was forced to make four saves as the Storm put five of its 14 shots on frame.
 
The Crimson Storm will now travel to No. 20 Incarnate Word, Sunday, for a 12 p.m. game
