Box Score

BETHANY, Okla. —
Just eight games in and Southern Nazarene's Jackie Acevedo is just a goal away of tying her career-high for goals scored in a season after she put four the first five goals away in an 11-0 rout of Northwestern Oklahoma State.

The Crimson Storm (6-2, 1-0 SAC) opened up Sooner Athletic Conference play in style as the nation's leading scorer padded her lead. The senior scored the first two goals of the game in the first 20 minutes before Bruna Da Cas gave SNU a 30- lead in the 22nd minute. Acevedo proceeded to lift the Storm to a 5-0 lead with back-to-back goals before Mallary Schaub scored the first of her three goals just before half.

Schaub scored her second straight as she opened the half with her second goal of the year in the 52nd minute. Kayla Thompson made it a 7-0 contest with her second of the year before Schaub completed her hat trick in the 62nd minute. Mia Vablolis put the finishing touches on the match with her fifth and sixth goals of the year with the two scored just over a minute apart.

Da Cas had three assists on the day while Acevedo had two as the two senior combined for 15 points. Sherri Collins, Thompson, Bekah Stewart and Kendra Nixon all had assists.

Rachael Wade was not challenged all night as the Rangers (4-4, 0-1 SAC) did not put a single shot on goal and took just five shots total.

The Storm pounded the NWOSU goal, putting 18 of their 26 shots on goal and forced the Rangers to make seven saves.

The Crimson Storm will now travel to Oklahoma Christian, Saturday, for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
