EDMOND, Okla. — Jackie Acevedo scored her 17th goal of the season for Southern Nazarene as SNU fell 3-1 to Central Oklahoma.

The Bronchos (2-3) broke the scoreless tie in the 23rd minute when Stephanie Fleig took a perfect lead pass just to the right of the middle of the field and buried it in the right side the net. Fleig then traded the favor to Brittni Walker when Walker took a cross and found the back of the net.

The Bronchos made it 3-0 when Katy Kashwer corralled a rebound off a Rachael Wade save and found the bottom left side of the goal.

Acevedo's goal came in the 88th minute when she got a break away off a Bruna Da Cas pass, but that was it for SNU (4-2). The Storm was just one shot off UCO at 16-15 and matched the Bronchos on shots on goal with seven each.

Wade made four saves for the Storm while Brandi Bartley made six for UCO.

The Crimson Storm will now get set to travel to Southwestern Oklahoma State, Sept. 22, for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
