LUBBOCK, Texas — Sophomore Blake Rodgers had four goals through the first 11 games of the season, but has scored three goals in the past three games, including bookend goals in a 3-0 win over Lubbock Christian.
 
The Crimson Storm (5-9, 4-3 SAC) scored all three goals in the second half and got five saves out of Tyler Wythe to stay right in the middle of the pack in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
 
After a scoreless first half, Rodgers put SNU on the board in the 49^th minute off a Javier Caballeros assist as SNU took a 1-0 lead. Just 19 seconds later Edgar Pineda found the back of the net to give the Storm a 2-0 lead. Rodgers then put the game on ice in the 60^th minute off a Josh Thomas/Javier Caballeros assist.
 
SNU took 10 shots and put six on goal while the Chaps (10-3-3-, 4-2-2 SAC) put five of their 16 shots on goal.
 
Southern Nazarene will now travel to No. 23 Science & Arts, Tuesday, for a 3 p.m. SAC game.
