Southern Nazarene University Athletics

Feland Field (Cypert Athletic Complex)

Stadium History

On February 12, 2000, Southern Nazarene University unveiled the brand new Claud & Betty Cypert Athletic Complex before a crowd of 300 as the SNU baseball team hosted USAO in an afternoon doubleheader. The Crimson Storm was defeated by the Drovers in the first game on the new field 9-4, but earned the first ever victory in the new complex in the second game of the double dip, knocking off USAO 9-1.

SNU’s Cypert Complex is named after long time SNU supporters Claud & Betty Cypert. The Cypert’s have made many generous donations to the university throughout the years.

Sixteen years later, the Crimson Storm made their debut in front of a new stadium now named Feland Field. The state of the art stadium features brand new stadium seating on the north and southside of the stadium and chair back seating directly behind home plate. The press box has two booths, one for SNU home broadcasts, a brand new sound system and plenty of room in the main booth for public address, scoreboard operator and opposing broadcast. The field also features a new backstop and net.
