Charlie Hibbard

Charlie Hibbard begins her fifth year as the Head Coach of Women’s Tennis at Southern Nazarene. The four-time Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year brings an impressive resume back to her alma mater. Hibbard coached both men and women at East Central in Ada, Oklahoma, for 21 years before taking the job at SNU in the summer of 2013.

In her first year at the helm of the Crimson Storm, Hibbard coached the 2014 GAC Player of the Year Masha Andrianova who went undefeated in conference play.  Andrianova became a two-time GAC Player of the Year in 2015 and finished her career at 19-2 against GAC opponents.

Hibbard earned ITA Central Region Coach of the Year honors in 2007 on the men’s side at ECU. She earned LSC Women’s Coach of the Year honors in 2007 and Men’s Coach of the Year in 2004, 2007 and 2010. She has coached two Lone Star Conference Players of the Year and an LSC Freshman of the Year. Hibbard led the women’s team to three NCAA Tournaments (2005, 07, 08) and the men’s team to the 2007 NCAA Tournament

In her time at ECU she helped produce 18 All-Lone Star Conference selection, nine LSC All-Academic Team members, five Scholar-Athlete honorees and one All-American

Over her past two seasons at ECU, the Tigers finished no worse than second in the Great American Conference, since joining in 2011-12, on both the men’s and women’s side. The Lady Tigers tied for the 2013 GAC Championship in the regular season with Southern Nazarene. 

Hibbard lives in Oklahoma City and has two sons, Sean and Cody, a daughter, Erin. She also has a grandson, Gavin.
