Newton averaged a double-double in two games this week at 12.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. He had career-highs with 18 points and 11 rebounds in a win at Southeastern Oklahoma State and then had seven points and 12 rebounds in an exhibition win over Oral Roberts.
