GAC Softball Players of the Week
 
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — After Southern Nazarene sweeping Northwestern Oklahoma State during the week, the GAC awarded Sam Smith with its Softball Player of the Week for the ninth week of the season.
 
Smith's .700 batting average helped lead Southern Nazarene to its first GAC series sweep since joining in 2013. She slugged 1.400, while recording nine RBIs, five runs, and a pair of homers. Smith finished with three stolen bases as well. Smith also went a perfect 7-for-7 in her last three games.
 
It is Smith's first weekly award and the second weekly award for the Storm as a team this year.
