Southern Nazarene and Arkansas Tech kept fans on the edge of their seats Friday

Madden went 4-for-6 with five RBIs, tying the school record for career RBIs.
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BETHANY, Okla. — After a strange day of scheduling, late starts and 36 runs scored total, Saturday's doubleheader looks a bit more entertaining.
 
Southern Nazarene scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth in the opener to score an 11-8 win and nearly had a comeback in the bottom of the eighth, falling 9-8 to Arkansas Tech in extra innings. The Crimson Storm move to 16-28 overall and 8-20 in the Great American Conference with the split.
 
Arkansas Tech scored the first two runs of the opener, but SNU scored three off of back-to-back jacks by Amy Madden and Kaytie Spencer. Madden hit her 12th home run of the year with a two run shot to left right before Spencer put the Storm up 3-2 with a solo shot to left.
 
ATU tied in the top of the third, but SNU scored three in the bottom half to lead 6-3. Kacey Acker drove in the first run with a double to left center before Lindy Fluman singled to left field to drive in two more. The Storm took an 8-3 lead in the fourth when Kylie Lang singled up the middle to push two more across the plate.
 
The Golden Suns erupted for five runs in the top of the sixth to tie it at 8-8, but SNU rallied to score three in the bottom of the inning. SNU scored the first two on an ATU error and added another on an Acker double to right to take the 11-8 lead.
 
Lang went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored while Madden went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Acker also went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored.
 
Jeneva Nelson gave up just two earned runs on three hits in 2.2 innings of relief as she picked up the win to move to 5-10 on the year. Maci-Brooke Lambert recorded her first save of the year after she gave up just one hit in seventh.
 
Arkansas Tech struck first again in the nightcap with one in the first, but the Storm answered with one in the bottom of the on a sacrifice fly to right by Madden to tie it. The Storm took the lead in the bottom of the second when Blevens laced a single to left to put SNU up 2-1.
 
The Golden Suns answered with a three-run home run to center to take a 4-2 lead in the top of the third. SNU tied it in the bottom of the third on back-to-back singles by Whitney Linder and Kaylee Allen and then took a 5-4 lead in the fourth on a Fluman single to left center.
 
ATU retook the lead in the top of the fifth with two to lead 6-5. The Storm tied it in the fifth when Madden laid down a suicide squeeze. The Golden Suns took a 7-6 lead with one in the top of the seventh when Madden bounced a home run off the top of the left field fence to tie it at 7-7 and force extra innings. ATU though ripped a two-run home run in the top of the eighth to lead 9-7. SNU two straight singles to lead off the inning including an RBI single to right by Linder. ATU though got three straight outs on a pair of fielder's choices and a fly out to end the game.
 
Blevens, Spencer and Linder all went 3-for-5. Blevens drove in a run and scored two while Linder drove in two and scored one. Allen also went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Lambert (10-13) went the full eight innings in the loss, giving up nine runs on 17 hits.
 
The two will close out the series Saturday with a 12 p.m. doubleheader.
