BETHANY, Okla. —
Southern Nazarene put two more Sooner Athletic Conference games in the bag and kept pace with Lubbock Christian atop the SAC standings with two 6-2 wins over Mid-America Christian.

Amy Madden was back to form for the Crimson Storm (33-14, 16-5 SAC) as she went 4-for-5 on the day with seven RBIs and hit her 12th home run of the season. Madden went 2-for-2 with two RBIs in the opener. Aubrey Jones went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and a run scored.

The Crimson Storm scored the first run of the opener in the bottom of the second when Allison Fields ripped a two-out single to center to score Kacey Acker.

SNU took a 5-0 lead in the third with back-to-back singles to center by Jones and Madden as each drove in a pair. Jill Clemence then made it a 6-0 game with a sharp ground ball to second that scored Acker.

MACU got one back in the fourth and added another in the fifth, but that was it for the Evangels as Kaci Crawford slammed the door shut. Crawford gave up just one earned run on four hits and struck out six in six innings of work. The senior moved to 14-7 on the year. Maci-Brooke Lambert threw the final inning of relief as she struck out two of the three batters she faced.

Madden then went 2-for-3 with five RBIs and a run scored in the nightcap. Kristina Forest also went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.

MACU struck first with a run in the top of the first, but the Storm answered with two off of the bat of Madden who drilled a single up the middle. Madden then broke the game open in the third with a three-run shot to left.

Kristina Forest gave SNU a 6-1 lead in the fourth with a sacrifice fly to right and that was all SNU needed. Jeneva Nelson went the first six innings and allowed just two runs and scattered seven hits while striking out five. Lambert tossed the final inning of the nightcap as well and retired the side in order. Nelson moved to 9-2 on the year.

The Crimson Storm will now take a break from Sooner Athletic Conference play by hosting Langston, Tuesday, for a 2 p.m. doubleheader.
