NIPTON, Nev. — No. 10 Southern Nazarene will enter the final round of the Battle at Primm in 10
th place after the Crimson Storm shot a 599 on the par-72, 7,131-yard Primm Valley Course.
SNU is 12 strokes back of a four-way tie for fourth as No. 3 Grand View (Iowa), Oklahoma Baptist, No. 11 Cal State San Marcos, and Lubbock Christian all shot a 587. No. 1 Oklahoma Christian and No. 2 Oklahoma City are 1 and two as OC shot a 577 and OCU shot a 582. No. 14 Wayland Baptist shot a 584 to put itself in third.
Westminster (Utah) and Concordia (Ore.) sit just head of SNU in eighth at 592.
Blake Jackson led the way for the Crimson Storm after he shot a 148 two-round total after notching a 77 on the first round and then a 71 on the second. Just four strokes separate SNU's top five.
Eric Smith is tied for 35
th at 150 while
Johan Andersson and
Andrew Abercrombie each shot a 151 and are tied for 40
th.
Sam Russell is one stroke back in a tie for 44
th at 152.
The final round will conclude Tuesday.
