Storm Wrap Up Fall in Second

Michael Hearne and Sam Russell tied for third in the final fall tournament

Hearne notched his second top five finish of the year.

CABOT, Ark. — Southeastern Oklahoma State posted the only round of the Bison Fall Classic under 300 as the Savage Storm shot a 299 on the final round and edged out Southern Nazarene for first place. SNU shot a 312 at the Greystone Country Club, nine strokes over what it shot Monday, while Southeastern took 10 strokes off its previous day's score.
 
Michael Hearne matched his score from the day before with a four-over par 76 on the 7,051-yard course to finish at 152 in a tie for third with teammate Sam Russell. The junior shot a 78 Tuesday to finish at 152 as well. Blake Jackson stayed in a tie for 12th as he shot a 79 on the final day to finish at 156. Matthew Folsom fell back to 22nd with an 85 on the day as he totaled 161. Eric Smith was one shot back in a tie for 23rd at 162.
 
Harding was two shots back of Southern Nazarene in third place, but had the individual champion in Lucas Collins who fired a two-under 70 to finish at 147. Southeastern wrapped up the tournament with a 608 while SNU had a 615
 
Southern Arkansas finished seventh at 663 while Ouachita Baptist took eighth at 673.
 
That wraps up the fall season for the Storm as SNU gets prepared for the spring season.
