2011 SAC Preseason Coaches' Poll
SHAWNEE, Okla. — The Sooner Athletic Conference announced it's preseason coaches' poll and has Southern Nazarene picked to finish second in 2011 season.
The Crimson Storm are coming off a 10-9-1 (6-4-1 SAC) season in which they went to the SAC Tournament semifinals and took top-seeded Oklahoma City to overtime at OCU. SNU graduated just one player and returns the SAC Player of the Year in
Jackie Acevedo.
Oklahoma City was picked to win the conference again after the Stars rattled off an undefeated conference season last year. OCU picked up all possible first place votes as coaches could not vote for their own team while SNU picked up one first place vote.
The Stars garnered 121 points while SNU picked up 95. John Brown is expected to finish third as they totaled 92 points while Oklahoma Baptist was picked to finish fourth with 80 points.
